After two years of work and travel in around twenty countries across the planet, Klaus Auderer concluded his global project concerning the oil and transport industry operating world-wide; in connection with the disappearance of the alpine glaciers. He combined videos and sculptures at two decentral locations on the European motorway network, in order to point towards the global effects of a self-destructive, 150-year-old oil-burning system. Auderer uses Planet Oil – MC Suicide Unlimited to demand a more advanced energy and transport system, and local structures that are capable of making oil wars like the Iraq war in 2003 – some of which he experienced himself – superfluous.
