Services Information Künstler:innen Vereinigung Tirol
Funding agreements for Art in Public Space Tyrol are concluded between the artists and the province of Tyrol. The Künstler:innen Vereinigung Tirol (department Kunstpavillon & Neue Galerie) coordinates and administrates the Art in Public Space Tyrol funding programme on behalf of the State of Tyrol. The association is responsible for the programme content, the call for proposals, the application process, and the jury meeting.
The Künstler:innen Vereinigung Tirol will also provide advice and support during the phase of project realisation.
Services provided by the Künstler:innen Vereinigung Tirol:
- Scheduling / coordinating dates with other Art in Public Space projects
- The Künstler:innen Vereinigung Tirol will function as a supporting partner institution during the projects’ development and, if necessary, provide advice on curatorial, content-related and technical production issues.
- Public Outreach:
- The Künstler:innen Vereinigung Tirol will compose press and project texts in consultation with the artists, and organise press events.
- The Künstler:innen Vereinigung Tirol will produce various printed materials (flyers, posters, etc.) and advertise the funding programme.
- Documentation of the projects with photographs and, where appropriate, videos
- Editing the KÖR Tirol website and publishing the projects (koer-tirol.at)
Project participants’ responsibilities:
- Development and production of the work is exclusively the artists’ responsibility.
- Set-up and dismantling must be organised and financed by the artists themselves.
- Research work and administrative tasks
- Procuring all official permissions / authorisations
- Project billing
Responsibilities of the Department of Culture, State of Tyrol:
- Art in Public Space Tyrol is a programme funded by the State of Tyrol. The financial management of the selected projects will be handled directly by the Department of Culture.
- The Department of Culture will send commitments to funding to all project organisers in writing. These contain all the necessary information about financial management, project billing, and deadlines.
- Any major changes to the concept during realisation must be agreed with the Department of Culture; there may be problems with project billing if you do not comply with this stipulation.

Further information:
- Travelling and travel expenses must be included in the artist’s production budget.
- Costs for any contracted set-up and insurance of the work are also to be included in the artist’s production budget.
- Daily allowance or catering costs cannot be charged or paid.
- The artist is obliged to keep the Künstler:innen Vereinigung Tirol informed about the status of the project and to involve the association in the realisation process.
- Logo placement: the logos of KÖR Tirol and the State of Tyrol must be attached to all projects.
The basic legal principles of the Tyrolean Promotion of Culture Act and the Tyrolean Cultural Promotion Guidelines apply to the realisation of projects within the framework of Art in Public Space Tyrol.
